HOPE REIGNS

2020 has proven to be a difficult year so far. All around the world, the struggle of Covid19 and battling the fear of the unknown has run rampant. People live in fear, and struggle with depression amidst stay at home orders… Quarantine has quickly become the most commonly misspelled word of 2020. People have turned to making live videos to encourage each other. Public playgrounds are caution taped off…Schools are canceled. Most churches have closed their doors and gone to primarily live stream services… Restaurants are only open for drive thru services or curbside pick up… Video chats are the norm to see family members. Every day people listen to their governor’s address hoping for good news of a lift of stay at home orders, or a flattening of the curve. Every day people listen to Presidential updates hoping for good news as a whole for our nation. Children push their parents to their limits…Parents push their children to their limits…Snuggles are imminent. Family time is cherished. Board games and family walks and watching series of movies together is a new norm.

There are good and bad. I have enjoyed taking a bit of a step back. I homeschool my own children..So, honestly, it wasn’t that big of a change for us. But at the same time it was. We focused on our family time a bit more. Sickness went through our house at the beginning of quarantine. It was probably Influenza B. There were 5 days of high fevers and my children hardly moving off the couches. And then Nathaniel was sick, and then I was sick. Somehow, Destini is super immune and missed it. God is good! 🙂 After we were all on the mend, quarantine began to be more enjoyable. Our kids are getting their school work done quickly. And we have enjoyed our time with the horses as normal. We have been watching the Avengers movies together as a family and these boys run around the house dressed like super heroes…Jonathan blasts me like Iron man when he doesn’t want to eat his dinner. We have seven children…and we are surviving shelter in place orders…Mamas…HANG in there. You got this. 🙂

The real reason of my rambling is not to give you insight into our daily lives as a family, but rather to tell you that hope reigns… I serve a God who is a God of hope, a God of healing, a God of mercy, and a God of love. He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. When you are lonely and feel alone…He is there. Give prayer a shot..It’s just conversation. What would it hurt?

When Covid19 is running rampant…Hope Reigns.

When we are feeling alone and things just aren’t seeming right…Hope Reigns

When we are sick…He is a healer of all our sickness and disease….Hope Reigns

When the world is seemingly turned upside down…Hope Reigns

Here’s my encouragement to you today…Don’t be discouraged. God is a healer, He is in control even when we can’t see it. He works in ways we do not understand and He always sees the big picture when we can only see a small part.

“Now the God of hope, fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13 KJV

“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worth patience; And patience, experience; and experience hope.” Romans 119:114 KJV

“Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.” Psalm 31:24

We, as a nation, need to look to God during this time of trial and tribulation. America, as a whole has become independent and have so many needs supplied, that often we overlook the fact that God is the supplier of all our needs. We have ready access to food, power, internet, phones, amazing living spaces, cars, etc… We go and buy the food we need in most instances, and as the majority we don’t know what it means to go hungry or need things we don’t have access too. We are abundantly blessed.

Perhaps this time of quarantine, has caused some of us to reflect on our lives and realize that we do need God. I know it has caused me to reflect on my own personal relationship with God and realize that I need a deeper more personal and intimate relationship with Him. It has made me personally realize the necessity of prayer and fasting and crying out for mercy on our town, state, country, WORLD.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

It is the desire of my heart for God to heal our land. He has come to seek and to save that which is lost. This is not an article to say, live this way, live that way…Or your way is right or wrong. It’s not a book of the standards that you should live your life by. I just want to encourage you, to consider that God loves you. He desires a relationship with you. He gave his life for you willingly at Calvary. You should try talking to Him…Talk to Him honestly just like you would any close friend. Ask for forgiveness, ask Him to lead you and show you His truth in His Word. Try reading the Word of God, the Bible, and ask Him to open your understanding.

Lord heal our land…
